This is what a Black Sea trout farm should be… in cool Fındıklı, a town in Rize province, a new development has created a trout farm on a rocky slope of the foothills. Ergin Özdemir (51) has constructed a two-storey building of 25 sq.m per floor, on top of a large rock outcrop on a slope over the Arılı river in Arılı village outside Fındıklı. With the addition of living quarters Özdemir has created his trout farm. Visitors to the site can eat fish while they gaze at the river pouring down between rocks. Özdemir told press that he had originally constructed the building as a sales point for the fish produced here, but on the advice of customers it became a restaurant attached to the trout farm instead. |
